Mortar & Pastel

A mortar and pestle is a tool used to crush, grind, and mix solid substances (trituration). The pestle is a heavy bat-shaped object, the end of which is used for crushing and grinding. The mortar is a bowl, typically made of hard wood, ceramic or stone. The substance to be ground is placed in the mortar and ground, crushed or mixed with the pestle.

Mortars and pestles were traditionally used in pharmacies to crush various ingredients prior to preparing an extemporaneous prescription. The mortar and pestle, along with the Rod of Asclepius, the Green Cross, and others, is one of the most pervasive symbols of pharmacology.

It can also be used in cooking to prepare the ingredients or grinding spice into powder.

Creativity Ideas Of Uses Of Mortar & Pestle In The Future

As typical as human can be.We`re bound to forget the purpose or uses of something that was created 100 years ago.And it will be just a matter of time before our future generation will ask us.What is pastel and Mortar?Since they dont know what it is,they will eventually make they own assumtion about the usage of pastel and mortar.And it gives me an idea how it will turn out to be in the future.Here are some image that i draw to show how this two object will be use in the future.

The first picture is about a mortar and pastel were use as a weapon.The mortar will be use as a sword or something to hit the enemy,while pastel on the other hand will be shield....but it can also be use as a weapon to of course.

The second picture is about mortar and pastel were use as an ethnic dance.A person will walk around the bonfire while holding the pastel on their left hand and mortar on the right hand.They will dance around while hitting the object simultaneously.

The third picture is about mortar and pastel were use in burial ceremony.The pastel is use to cover the corpse face.And mortar on the other hand will be place to chest.

JUXTAPOSITION

Juxtaposition (literary), synonymous with contrast, two objects or texts that oppose one another.When two things put side by side, conflict between right brain and left brain happens.

Generally people consider Juxtaposition is synonymous to Contradiction, Paradox, Incongruent, etc. But more than that, Juxtaposition has a sense of nearness. Therefore, I conclude that Juxtaposition is contrasts that being placed together in close proximity, or side by side. They are being placed, so we can see the differences and the similarities. Simpler word; Applying Contrast side by side.

The common example of juxtaposition:

Romeo compared to Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet.

An oxymoron is a the most common type of juxtaposition. 

An oxymoron is putting two contradictory words together. 

an example of an oxymoron is -: Judges are supposed to maintain an unbiased opinion.

There are two analogy that you can find in Juxtaposition:

1.Methapore

-Metaphor is the concept of understanding one thing in terms of another. A metaphor is a figure of speech that constructs an analogy between two things or ideas; the analogy is conveyed by the use of a metaphorical word in place of some other word.

2.Similes

-figure of speech that indirectly compares two different things by employing the words "like", "as", or "than". Even though similes and metaphors are both forms of comparison, similes indirectly compare the two ideas and allow them to remain distinct in spite of their similarities, whereas metaphors compare two things directly.

The number chosen represent the combination of words like for an example 40 represent Light & Head. The words arrangement according to the numbers is from left to right (Not from right to left).

The number i choose is 04,24, and 92.The combination as follow:

• 04 - Fly & Mountain
• 24 - Lightning & mountain
• 92 - Leaf & Rock

After we have to combine those two words to become a sentences:

• 04 - Fly & Mountain -The plane Fly through the Mountain.
• 24 - Lightning & mountain - The lightning strike furiously on top of that Mountain.
•  92 - Leaf & Rock - The Leaf fall on to the Rock.

Then, we have to illustrate the image base on the sentences,I`m using Adobe Illustrator CS3.

This is the founder of one of the famous software in the world.His name is William Henry Bill Gates III.Microsoft Windows develops, manufactures, licenses and supports a wide range of products and services predominantly related to computing through its various product divisions.Bill gates is not an average person as we all expected.He had an early interest in software and began programming computers at young age,to be exact when he still 13 years old.And because of that his creative invention has making him the top billionaires from 1995 to 2009.Microsoft windows is widely use by people around the world because of it functionality that support the whole system of the computer.Life has become a lot easier with Microsoft Window and people from all age can use it because of it simpleness and easy to use.He have proved to the world that he is also one of the creative person based on his novelty, creativity, innovation and invention.
